Diptipur adopts a simple, restorative approach: To provide space for individuals to step back from their normal life, for the purpose of reconnecting with their spirit. To find space for a deeper communion with the beauty and truth that we each hold, and to step back out into the world with a renewed sense of possibility.
The Diptipur Experience
Diptipur can accommodate up to 15 people, with spaces to nurture connection to self and others, encourage creativity and experience rest and rejuvenation.
There is a Library and a Reading Room providing quiet spaces for reading and relaxing. The Yoga Studio (80 square metres) lends itself to a large meditation space, group yoga of up to 15 people, workshops, or group activities.
A Meditation Room overlooks the pool and forest, a space for meditation and prayer. There are a number of communal areas that serve for gathering and discussion groups – around the fireplace, in the loft of the house and sheltered terraces and patios.
The garden has a number of areas for personal reflection, gazebos for small group activities, lawns, short forest walks and a pool and spa. The gardens and their forest surrounds are well-tended, evocative in their beauty.
Diptipur is a facility that is provided as a whole to groups wishing to host retreats. Catering will be the responsibility of the organiser. There is a three night minimum stay, and day events are also welcome. Typical use has been for creative writers working with their manuscripts, academic writers, artists, women’s retreats, yoga, spirituality groups, healing retreats. The intimacy, yet spaciousness, makes it well suited to small groups for residential sojourns, as well as workshops, seminars and private endeavours.
All are welcome.
